At least eight people were killed and another five injured after a leaking gas tank exploded in Dalian City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, on early on Saturday morning.
Five others were hospitalised with injuries after the predawn fire, the Xinhua News Agency said. It said the cause was under investigation.

The blaze was put out at 2:30am and an investigation into the cause is underway.
All the injured were treated at the hospital and believed to be in stable condition.
