UAQ Police to cut traffic fines by 50 per cent for 5 days

The General Headquarters of Umm Al Quwain Police announced a 50 per cent cut in traffic fines during the period from 5 to 9 September.

The violations mentioned in Article (1 - a, b) of the Federal Traffic Law concerning driving a vehicle in a way that puts the driver’s and others’ safety at risk are excluded from this decision, the police confirmed.

Furthermore, the violations mentioned in Article (73) concerning the changes to the vehicle’s engine or chassis without a licence are also excluded from the decision.

The discount also excludes violations of the instructions and precautionary measures mentioned in the Attorney General’s Resolution No. (38) of 2020 and amended by Resolution No. (54) regarding the regulation for controlling violations, precautionary measures, instructions and duties imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
