Sheikh Mohammed meets Emir of Qatar on sidelines of Baghdad Conference

Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Tamim hold talks in Baghdad on Saturday.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Sheikh Mohammed exchanged with the Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar, talks about the conference and its expected results, in a way that serves the continuity of security and stability for brotherly Iraq, wishing for the progress of Iraqi people.

Sheikh Mohammed also discussed with Sheikh Tamim strengthening relations that serve the process of building, development and progress, and achieving the common interests of the two brotherly countries.

Sheikh Mohammed shared pictures of him gathering with Sheikh Tamim during the meeting, and tweeted, "During the meeting, we discussed with the Emir of Qatar, the conference and its anticipated outcomes geared towards serving the lasting security and stability of Iraq, wishing the conference great success and progress and prosperity for the Iraqi people.”

Sheikh Mohammed said, “Emir Tamim is a brother and friend, and the Qatari people are relatives and brother-in-law, and the fate of the Gulf is one, was and will be. May God preserve our peoples and perpetuate their security, stability and prosperity.”

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the UAE, Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Head of the Vice President's Ceremony, and Salem Al Qattam, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq.
