Suicide by hanging in Qena

Student Abdullah A. A., 18, committed suicide by hanging himself in Abu Tesht city in Qena Governorate, Egypt. The shocking move followed a quarrel with his father who scolded him as soon as he learned that he had failed in high school. He hanged himself with a rope attached to the ceiling of a room in his family house. Upon searching for his son fearing that he could hurt himself, the father was shocked to find he committed suicide in one of the rooms. He took his son and rushed to the hospital attempting to save him, but he was already dead. The Public Prosecution was notified to take legal measures to bury the body.

Jumping from the 6th floor

A student threw herself from the 6th floor in Sers El-Liyan city, Al Menoufiya Governorate, Egypt, as soon as the results were announced. She was shocked to know she failed in more than one subject, and jumped from the balcony of her family's apartment.

Falling from the 5th floor

A high school student, K. N., was killed in the Bejam area in Shubra El-Khaimah, Qalyubia Governorate, Egypt, after falling from the 5th floor of her family's house.

The girl's father and sister confirmed that the victim had fallen from the balcony while she was hanging laundry. And they denied the rumours that she had committed suicide because of the high school results. However, some neighbours and friends of the victim stated through social networking sites that she had committed suicide because she failed in some subjects.

Swallowing a lot of drugs

Another student in Sers El-Layan city, Al Menoufiya Governorate, could not bear the news of her failure, so she swallowed a whole lot of medicines intending to kill herself. She was instantly transferred to the Poison Centre, to save her life. She is currently undergoing the necessary medical treatment.

Electrocuted hours before high school results announced

The anticipation for the announcement of the high school results of the student Ashraf Al Sayed, 18, changed to prayers to Allah to save his life after he had been electrocuted in Minya Al Qamh city, Al Sharqiya Governorate, Egypt.
