The National Search and Rescue Centre, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police, carried out a search and rescue mission for three Emiratis stranded in the desert.

A report was received from the Abu Dhabi Police Operations Room stating that citizens have been stuck for past two days in the desert in Abu Dhabi, and they are in a state of fatigue and exhaustion due to the high temperature and lack of drinking water.

The site was located with the help of the National Center for Search and Rescue personnel.

The team evacuated them to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital.

The authorities have urged members of the community to take all necessary steps to protect themselves while they are outdoors.

On Monday, the Air Wing Air Ambulance crew transported an Asian in his twenties who was seriously injured in a traffic accident.

The accident took place on Mohammed Bin Zayed Street in the Hamriyah region.

The chopper was immediately moved to the site and the injured was treated at the spot and transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman.
