The US TV channel reported that a fraudster in the Winter Park area, Florida tried to sell a house he did not own.

The incident was discovered when a real estate broker placed an ad on the Internet for selling a house.

The real owner of the house, Mark Winchester, was residing at his second home far away from the area.

Winchester said: "I received a phone call from caretakers asking if I changed the doors’ locks because their keys did not work.

“They said when they entered the house they found a box containing keys to new locks.”

Surveillance cameras showed a real estate woman and a man, walking inside the house.

The man was a locksmith and the woman was the real estate broker.

Winchester reported the incident to the police.

Two days later, the broker headed to the house again, with a photographer to take shots to sell it.

Winchester said the woman told him she had an agreement with a person whose name was Mark Winchester, whom she did not meet.

The company for which the woman worked, ERA Grizzard Real Estate apologised to Mark and said investigations are underway.
