Travellers jabbed with UAE approved vaccines abroad can travel to UAE after registering with ICA starting Aug.15

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has provided a package of procedures and activities that support the movement of travellers by preparing work teams at all ports of the country to deal with incoming people and provide the necessary facilities to ensure the flexibility of their entry into the country.

This proactive strategy helped enhance the efficiencies of business outputs, in normal and special circumstances such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship said, “We announce the protocol for approving the vaccination certificate issued from outside the country, which aims to verify the attached vaccination certificates in accordance with the procedures regulating them, and to approve them electronically and automatically, to facilitate the movement of those coming from abroad, and to ensure the speedy completion of the procedure.”

The registration of vaccination certificates is optional for travellers wishing to enjoy the advantages obtained by individuals who receive the vaccine in the country.

The ICA said to ensure the safe passage of travellers during this period, we advise those coming to the country to register their data using the ICA UAE Smart smart application or by visiting the website http://smartservices.ica.gov.ae

The authority said, “It should be noted that only approved vaccines will be approved in the country. The approved certificates will appear in the AlHosnApp.

"Passengers can start registering from Aug.15."

The application has the ability to include various data related to the traveller, including information about vaccination certificates, as the number of users of these applications reached 63,000 travellers from around the world.

The arrivals registration service is available on the ICA application or on the authority’s website, and registration takes place through simple and quick steps that start with filling in personal and passport data, with the inclusion of the address of residence within the country, and then providing information related to vaccination and attaching evidence.

The authority said, “We welcome all those coming to the country, and we wish you to spend a safe and enjoyable visit or stay, while making sure to follow all precautionary and preventive measures, for your health is our priority.

“We advise all arrivals to follow the health protocols followed in the country, and to communicate with the competent authorities to respond to all inquiries related to the Covid-19 virus.

The UAE has a pioneering vision in employing advanced technology, which has contributed to the development of advanced infrastructure for various sectors, especially with regard to personal data and the population registry.
