A Senegalese student had disguised himself as a woman to appear for the high school exams in place of his girlfriend in central Senegal before he was caught.

The student is being tried in court, along with the girl, for fraudulent examinations.

The student, who studies at a university in the north of Senegal, was placed with the girl in Diourbel prison pending investigation after being interrogated for two days.

The student, whose age had not been revealed, went to Diourbel to attend the high school exams in place of his girlfriend. The girl is studying at a high school in this city, according to sources.

Photos of him were posted on social networking sites showing him wearing a red dress decorated with black designs with a scarf and a headdress. He was caught on the third day of exams when he was taking an English exam. Observers suspected his dress and called the police.
