Ireland was forced to take a U-turn on number of guests allowed to attend wedding during pandemic after some brides-to-be dressed all in white to protest outside parliament on Tuesday .

Many other brides-to-be flooded radio call-in shows to blast governmental curbs limiting wedding guest numbers.

Ireland has put in some of Europe's toughest curbs during the pandemic.

The country is gradually easing the lockdown and recently allowed pubs and restaurants to resume serving fully vaccinated diners indoors.

However, the comments of Deputy Prime Minister Leo Varadkar regarding shelving the plan for increasing wedding guests number to 100 for the time being drew flak from brides-to-be.

Holding placards reading, "love is not cancelled" a handful of future brides marched from health department to the parliament on Tuesday.

Ireland holds weekly cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Cabinet finally gave in to the demands of brides-to-be and confirmed the decision to allow 100 guests at weddings.
