In a strange incident, a gunman stole an ambulance early on Friday, while a patient and a firefighter were inside.
The gunman was arrested while ordering food in front of a restaurant that sells Mexican meals, according to media reports.
Police in Houston, Texas, said on Friday that they tracked the driver and the stolen vehicle. He was ordering food with emergency lights on in the ambulance in the driveway.
He was arrested without a case, and the incident is still under investigation.
In a series of tweets, the police stated that the suspect was accused of taking the ambulance off the road, and then forcing a firefighter behind the wheel to get out of the vehicle at gunpoint, leaving him on the side of the road.
A patient and another firefighter were in the back of the car.
