In an unfortunate incident, a surveillance camera in China captured the moment a traffic policeman fainted while conducting his duties as a result of the high temperature, according China local media.

The incident took place on a streets in Xinjiang.

The video showed the policeman standing near the traffic post for regulating traffic in the middle of the street.

He appeared to surge forward with his hands on his face. He was almost knocked down by a speeding vehicle, but luckily fell to the ground.

He was without an umbrella to protect himself from the sun.

It was reported that the temperature reached 55°C at that time.

As soon as he fell down, the traffic stopped and passersby rushed to lift and take him to the hospital inside a car that stopped after the incident.

It is not clear what happened to the policeman.

Experts have been saying that climate change is taking its effect with some parts of the world recording extremely high temperature and incessant downpour leading to floods.
