The Dubai Municipality revealed that strict penalties have been imposed on fake pest control companies, whose activities are a crime against the law.

The municipality called on the public to communicate with it and make sure that pest control companies are licensed before requesting their services, by calling 800900.

It also called on the public to take caution when dealing with any company whose services may be suspicious by logging on to the official Dubai Municipality website and reviewing the list of companies approved and to ensure that the company was licensed by the municipality.

The municipality said the awareness campaigns aimed at educating the public and building guards were continuing to warn them about these companies, and not to allow their representatives to enter the building if not licensed by Dubai Municipality.

“The tenant has to request the representative of the company to show his licence before allowing him to enter the house,” the Municipality add.
