A 31-year-old Arab is facing trial before the Dubai Public Prosecution for harassing and threatening a male student to post his explicit pictures online.

The incident dates back to last March, when a police report was filed against the defendant by the 17-year-old victim.

During investigations, the victim testified that he was contacted by the defendant on Telegram application during last Ramadan.

"He contacted me as soon as he get out of prison and we talked for a period of time about several things,” the victim said.

As they both knew each other for four years, the defendant took advantage of the victim’s young age and used to ask him to send explicit photos of him.

However, during March, the defendant asked for pictures again, but the victim refused to repeat what they used to do in the past.

This is when the defendant began his threats to post the old pictures he had of the victim online.

Scared by defendant's threats, the victim decided to tell his older brother everything and luckily he received help to file a police report.
