Sharjah offers massive discounts, cash prizes for tourists during summer holidays

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has launched a package of family entertainment activities and is offering exclusive discounts during summer holidays.
Activities will be conducted at Al Majaz Waterfront, Montazah Gardens, Al Noor Island, Al Qasba, Sharjah Tour, Heart of Sharjah, Khorfakkan Beach and Mleiha Tourism Centre Environmental and archaeological sites, Flag Island and Sharjah Boats.
The authority said that it is providing visitors with an opportunity to win cash prizes of up to Dhs10,000.
To qualify for the draw visitors need to spend at least Dhs50 at one of its nine destinations until Aug.28.
The package includes free events and discounts of up to 50% on some tours, adventure activities and entertainment games.
It also includes live musical and theatrical performances, artistic and acrobatic activities.
The authority has planned fireworks, water games, educational tours, and tours to explore the city of Sharjah for the visitors.
Tours on the dunes by bicycle, horse riding, workshops in design, colouring and jewellery making are also on offer.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Executive Director of Operations at the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), said: “These summer offers and events come in line with the authority’s commitment to provide high quality tourism experiences to all families in the UAE, including citizens, residents, visitors and tourists."
“The summer vacation allows families to children have the opportunity to unique and diverse entertainment experiences in addition to enhancing communication with family members and friends,” Qaseer said.
“We were keen to launch an integrated package of offers to enable visitors to enjoy the holidays in a safe environment for several weeks,” he added.
Qaseer stressed that the keenness of ‘Shurooq’ to take all preventive measures against coronavirus.
