His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has opened up new national road networks and strategic development projects linking the country's various regions, completed at a total cost of Dhs1.95 billion.  

The Dubai Ruler was accompanied by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Sheikh Mohammed said, “The projects are part of vital development initiatives implemented by a committee in accordance with the President’s instructions, ensuring the highest quality of life for the people of the United Arab Emirates. 

"The new project aims to stimulate business growth and domestic tourism.

The royal said we are constantly striving to implement new strategic projects that can boost economy, by building closer integration of different regions of the country, increasing productivity and creates new investment prospects

The VP said, "Our infrastructure initiatives aim to strengthen the country’s status as a global model for sustainable development and provide its people with a quality of life that rivals the world’s best.  

"Under the leadership of UAE president Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed and the follow up of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the UAE continues to implement strategic measures that support the country's aspirations for the next 50 years and improve the competitiveness of its key sectors.  

Sheikh Mansour said the UAE leadership considers infrastructure development as one of its highest priorities.  It is the key to opening up new horizons for economic growth and development.

He said, "The country aims to create infrastructure that is among the world’s best and our strategic projects are designed to further enhance the UAE ’s high global ranking in economic, social and quality of life indicators.

The Dubai Ruler said, “People’s comfort is a goal that unites federal and local efforts to achieve... and the work is accelerating.

“To consolidate the foundations of sustainable development and push its rates to the highest levels… and to create the space for private sector institutions to expand their business and extend their activities based on a strong infrastructure that the state has provided them with all the reasons for excellence in accordance with the highest international standards. ”

He said the work does not stop so that the UAE remains a role model in caring for people... and the best choice for investors seeking an environment that provides him with all the ingredients for success.
 

Sheikh Mohammed reviewed the details of the road projects that were completed in accordance with the best international specifications to ensure the safety and comfort of its users.

He also inspected some of the roads that were implemented with their effect in shortening the elements of time and distance to facilitate easy movement between the different areas of the country.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Mohammed stood for photographs with the work team that carried out the task of implementing the new road network.
