The Sharjah Police General Directorate has recently launched a new licensing and registration service for individuals and institutions, which allow motorists to register new vehicles directly through car agencies in Sharjah.

Lt. Colonel Khalid Mohamed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicle and Drivers Licensing Department, revealed that the launch of the new service came as part of Sharjah Police’s keenness to enhance customer satisfaction.

“We aim to facilitate vehicle licensing procedures for all motorists by saving their time and effort,” he added.

In addition, the Sharjah Police has granted Sharjah-based car agencies the authority to register vehicles for individuals and institutions without the need to refer to service centers, by logging in the federal licensing program on the website of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).

It was noted that the database for the unified connection of electronic services include vehicle insurance, mortgage, and technical inspection; which will facilitate the rapid completion of the transaction, elimination of paper documents, as well as the saving of time and effort taken in the vehicle licensing process.

The Vehicle and Drivers Licensing Department has also held several introductory workshops for owners of car agencies, through which they were introduced to the new services and how to use the program.

Agencies owners also exchanged numbers of automatic vehicles registered on the system, or the numbers reserved for individuals, and service requirements.

During these workshops, the representatives and owners of car agencies expressed their sincere gratitude for the innovative services provided by Sharjah Police.
