Thousands of people from Hehya city, Al Sharqiyah governorate, Egypt, attended the funeral and mourned the death of a bride who died days before her wedding, placing roses and a wedding veil on the coffin.

The incident went viral on social media, according to Egypt media.

Thousands witnessed the farewell of the young bride Kholoud Ghayati, who was preparing to hold her wedding ceremony.

She passed out at an event and was transferred to Zagazig University Hospital.

Kholoud was suffering from severe anaemia, the medical reports confirmed, so she had been booked for the necessary treatment, but after 6 days, she passed away.

The bride Kholoud had already moved her belongings and furnishings to the groom's apartment.

It was also said that she lost consciousness and fell on the ground while attending a friend’s wedding.

The death of the bride was a shock to the people in the village who were preparing to attend the wedding.

The family of the bride Sadness received condolences instead of congratulations.

The family placed her wedding veil and flowers on her coffin fulfilling the wish of their deceased daughter.

The incident caused grief on social networking websites, where some called her "the Bride of Paradise," offering deep condolences to her family.
