Unvaccinated people will not be entertained at UAE government offices from Aug.1

The UAE's Human Resources body announced new precautionary measures for visitors of ministries and government agencies.

The decision takes effect from Sunday, Aug.1, 2021.

The authorities confirmed that the ministries will not allow customers, visitors, and employees of outsourcing companies or services, or any person other than the employees of the entity if they are not vaccinated.  

The authority said the following people would be excluded from the decision.

— Customers or visitors who have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine approved by the country.

— Those who have a negative PCR test result valid for a period not exceeding 48 hours from time of the result.

— Unvaccinated persons who have obtained an exception certificate from the competent health authorities, provided they have a negative result for the PCR test, valid for a period not exceeding 48 hours.  

— The circular does not include minors under the age of 16.
