India on Thursday has registered 817 new deaths, 45,892 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the country's total infections to 30.71 million, according to data from the health ministry.With 817 new deaths recorded, the South Asian's countries death toll has reached 405,028 deaths.
A total of 44,291 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 2,98,43,825 till date, according to the Union Health Ministry.

Thursday is the 30th consecutive day when India reported less than 100,000 new coronavirus cases. The active cases have now come down below 500,000. The country has 460,704 active cases presently and has witnessed a total of 405,028 deaths so far.
The Ministry said that a total of 364,847,549 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 3,381,671 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 425,225,897 samples have been tested up to July 7 for COVID-19. Of these 1,893,800 samples were tested on Wednesday.
On July 6, India recorded 553 deaths — lowest since April 6. This was after on May 23, India saw record fatalities with 4,454 deaths in 24 hours at the peak of the second wave. The first death in the country due to the pandemic was reported last March.
On June 30, India recorded 817 fatalities due to the coronavirus, lowest since April 10, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Thursday. The death figures have crossed 1,000 mark once again after three days.
A total of 38,660 people were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 30,308,456 till date from hospitals and health centres as the virus infected less than 100,000 people in the last 41 days, according to the Union Health Ministry.
India's overall tally of Covid-19 cases now stands at 2,73,69,093 with 24,19,907 active cases and 3,15,235 deaths so far. The South Asian country's overall caseload is now at 27.37 million, while total fatalities are at 315,235, according to health ministry data.
