UAE detects 1,513 new COVID-19 cases, 77,427 doses

The UAE health authorities on Wednesday detected 1,513 new coronavirus cases in the country.

 

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) says  that conducted 287,544 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours.

 

With the discovery of new cases the total number of infections in the country to 644,114

 

77,427 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours, says ministry statement.

 

The total number of doses provided up to Wednesday stands at 15,728,415 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 159.03 doses per 100 people.

 

The total number of deaths in the UAE rose to 1,847 after the ministry announced 4 new deaths due to COVID-19 complications.

 

According to a ministry statement an additional 1,489 infected people fully recovered from COVID-19, which brings the total number of recoveries to 622,301.

 

The Ministry has urged residents to cooperate with health authorities by adhering to the instructions and physical distancing.

 

The Ministry says it aims to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
