Mohammed says UAE economy moving in right direction, launches new projects

The UAE’s economic growth is continuing, accelerating and moving in the right direction, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on Monday.  

His Highness said on Twitter, "Our economic work is continuing, accelerating and moving in the right direction ... and our government team was reconstructed last summer, so that all the ministries and the internal, external and legislative institutions will work to focus on one clear goal, which is the economic growth of the UAE for the next fifty years.

He continued, "Today, from the Ministry of Economy, we launched the Skill-Up Academy, the Scale-up Platform to support the growth of startups, and the Grow in UAE smart portal to provide integrated information on investment policies and opportunities available.  We have also launched a clear national agenda to attract young and skilled talents to the country.”

Sheikh Mohammed also said, “During my visit today to the Ministry of Economy, we have launched economic projects, among of which are accelerators for family businesses to support them in entering new markets, an economic research institute in cooperation with the most prestigious international universities, and a global investment conference that will be held in March 2022.  It will focus on the new economic opportunities available in the country.”
