The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 2,282 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 624,814.
The Ministry stressed in a statement that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 274,917 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the Ministry.
MoHAP also announced 10 deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,792.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
MoHAP also noted that an additional 2,233 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 603,541.
The study examined the characteristics and symptoms of 103 patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 over a six-week period at Kantonsspital Aarau in Aarau, Switzerland.
The health ministry also reported 3,658 recoveries and 5 deaths due to COVID-19 complications. The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery of the infected cases.
The guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was instrumental in ensuring a rapid response to the outbreak and developing an effective counter-pandemic approach, said Dr Amer Sharif.
Sheikh Mohamed also ordered free tests to domestic workers. Other categories include people of determination, pregnant women, residents who are over 50 years old, people with coronavirus symptoms and the contacts of coronavirus patients.
