An Asian expat was murdered in Muscat's Ruwi area in broad daylight with passers-by ignoring the incident as if nothing happened.  

Preliminary investigations revealed that an altercation between the two car owners over the right of way led them into a fight, with one stabbing the other to death on the spot. 

A video of the incident was obtained by Gulf Today but was not shared in public interest showed the sedan owner throwing punches on the SUV owner.

The sedan owner eventually brings out a knife started stabbing him at least 12-14 times.The attacker then brings the injured man near his car and tried to tell him something.

 The attacker drags the victim towards his car.

The man then falls down, and died at the site.A huge crowd gathers at the site after the incident.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Twitter that they have arrested the accused in a murder case that took place in the Wilayat of Ruwi on Thursday morning.

The police also revealed that the culprit is also an Asian.

The police also said all legal measures are being taken against him.

The case is under investigation.

A viewer who claimed to have seen the video said, “I understand people on foot may be scared, they would get stabbed as well but those in cars could have hit him or blocked his way or something…”

Another one wrote on Twitter, “Saw the video of a murder that happen at Ruwi, in broad daylight… S*** has got me sick to my stomach. Everyone in that video just ignored what was happening in front of them...”
