The Department of Criminal Investigation at the General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police arrested two Asians who stole electrical cables from various sites in the emirate.

Colonel Saeed Obaid Bin Aran, Director of the Department explained that they received reports about the theft of electrical wires from many sites in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.

The investigation teams and members of the crime scene department rushed to the sites, and the technical report revealed that some traces were identical to an Asian.

An investigation team was formed and within 48 hours they arrested the main suspect in possession of the tools and equipment used in the theft.

The suspect confessed to selling electrical wires to another scrap dealer.

Other persons also admitted to thefts and were referred to the Public Prosecution.
