An Asian man was sentenced to life in prison by the Dubai Criminal Court for the premeditated murder of his wife, after he stabbed her 11 times at the entrance of their residential building in Dubai.

The sentence is followed by deportation of the defendant.

Official records indicate that the incident had taken place during September 25 last year, when the defendant surrendered himself to the police stating that he had murdered his wife.

Police teams arrived at the scene and placed the man under arrest after the attack outside 21st Century Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road.

During investigations, he revealed that he had stabbed his wife 11 times in the head, chest, neck and abdomen. He also confessed to taking pictures of her body after the brutal murder.

Upon his testimony, the defendant claimed he got married to the victim in 2019, and discovered that she was having an affair with someone else during June of 2020.

On the day of the murder, the defendant called the victim’s phone and was shocked to find that the call was answered by the man she was with.

“He answered the calls and told me not to disturb them, then hung up,” the victim said.

He added, “I called her one last time on the same day around 6pm, but she did not answer.”

This is when the defendant made his decision to kill his wife and headed out to buy a knife from a nearby supermarket, then waited outside their building for her arrival.

Around 8:10 pm, the victim arrived to find her husband waiting anxiously to ask about the man she was having an affair with.

Before she could answer, the defendant stabbed her and left her in a pool of blood.

He then took pictures of her body before calling police to alert them with the murder.

Furthermore, the stabbing incident was witnessed by a delivery man and the building’s security guard.

As the police arrived at the murder scene, they found the defendant waiting with the knife in his hand and next to his wife’s body.

During the defendant’s prosecution, he admitted to not regretting the killing of his wife.
