Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, recently chaired a periodic meeting with the Anti-Economic Crimes Department and the Electronic Investigation Department, with the aim of assessing readiness of security teams participating in the Dubai Expo 2020.

During the meeting, Al Mansouri reviewed statistics of both departments and the preparations of work teams during the Expo 2020, and discussed with the department’s directors a number of projects including training national service recruits.

He also stressed the importance of being ready to deal with emerging challenges and urged all stakeholders to come up with innovative and pioneering solutions that contribute to reducing, combating and preventing all types of crime.

Al Mansouri further highlighted the importance of working as an integrated team with high professionalism to preserve the gains and reputation achieved by the UAE in all fields.

Towards the end of the meeting, Al Manousir praised the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police for their efforts in maintaining the emirate’s safety and security, and for their great achievements in tackling economic and electronic crimes.

Recently, Dubai Police arrested a British teacher after one of his students accused him of sending indecent pictures to her.

The 39-year-old electronic design teacher was arrested at Dubai International Airport on Jan.7 this year.

The teacher had used his SnapChat account to send an explicit selfie of himself posing nearly naked to a teenage girl.  Prosecutors also said he allegedly threatened to defame the teen if she didn’t withdraw a police report she filed against him.

During prosecution and police questioning, he denied both charges and said his ex-pupil had often tried to seduce him.

“She was my pupil for eight years and last year she only taught me how to use SnapChat and added herself to my contacts,” he told investigators.
