In a horrifying incident, a young Amazon delivery woman beat up an elderly woman over a verbal altercation in Alameda County, California.

Local media said that the 67-year-old woman called the Amazon staffer a bi**ch after the driver had delayed the delivery package.

It was also learnt that the staffer made a comment on the lady about her ‘white privilege.'    

Alameda County Sheriff office said that Itzel Ramirez, 21, was arrested after her video of the beating the woman went viral.

The video showed the victim from Castro Valley appearing to say something to the driver.

The staffer dropped the package at the entrance and then started to beat up the woman in front of the entrance to Vista Creek Apartments at around 6pm on Thursday.

Social media users were divided over the video with some taking the side of the driver.   

A user with the name Mr. SomethingorOther said, “Even if the older woman did say hurtful words, it’s no excuse to assault her. There are better ways to handle this situation.”
Jdstex said, “That lady is going to own part of Amazon when this is all over.

The delivery driver is rethinking their career choice.”

Dianne Orellana said, “The only way I would do something like that is that person took me to the brink... There is more to this story.”

Darlene Banner said, “This just a reminder, that lady was doing a job! not to be harassed that lady was in her face not just that she told her it would be delivered shortly that woman could have just walked away! She kept pushing! We don't know if that woman spit and she wasnt 6ft”
