MARVEL AT THE SCROLL:  What strikes a first-time visitor upon entering the expansive grounds of the House of Wisdom that sprawls across 12,000 square metres is the awe-inspiring sight of the torch-shaped 36-metre-tall monument, known as The Scroll, rising into the sky. This contemporary interpretation of the ancient Arabic scroll was created by the famous UK-based artist Gerry Judah to commemorate Sharjah’s yearlong tenure as the Unesco World Book Capital 2019.

CONNECT WITH NATURE AT THE GEOMETRICALLY DESIGNED GARDEN:  As you walk through the geometrically designed garden, you can enjoy the ambience created by hundreds of trees belonging to various species, including indigenous varieties.

PRINT ‘INSTANT BOOKS’ AT THE ESPRESSO BOOK MACHINE: If you have written your first book and desire to see what it will look like in print, look no further than the Espresso Book Machine at the House of Wisdom. It is a state-of-the-art on-demand printing and binding machine that can produce a perfectly bound book in less than five minutes.
