Duo arrested for trying to get family visa on forged tenancy contract in Dubai

Two Asians were arrested and referred to criminal court by the Dubai Public Prosecution for forging a tenancy contract to issue family visa in Dubai.

The case dates back to last March, when the first defendant, a 25-year-old woman, had submitted official documents, including the forged contract to Amer immigration services in order to get family visa issued under the second defendant’s name.

The submitted papers were reviewed by employees who discovered that the rental contract had false information and forged stamps of government institutions such as Sharjah Municipality.

The employees reported the incident to authorities and a legal action was taken against the female defendant.

Upon investigating the defendant, she admitted that the male defendant had asked for help to use another individual’s contract and forge his information on it.

The female defendant received help from another accomplice who asked for Dhs1,000 in exchange for the original leasing contract, then they forged all its information accordingly.

Police also placed the male defendant under arrested on forgery charges.
