The Dubai Court of Appeal has upheld the ruling issued by Criminal Court of sentencing an Arab drug-trafficker to 5 years in jail, followed by deportation and a Dhs20,000 fine for facilitating drugs to another defendant.
Dubai Police nabbed three gang member red handed as they were were trying to fit the smuggled drugs in the bottom of the container in preparation for the final delivery. Dubai Police codenamed the whole operation as ‘the Fridge.’

A 22-year-old Arab man was booked and prosecuted by Dubai Courts for possessing and trafficking in 220g of hashish in Dubai. The incident dates back to last February when police received a tip-off about the defendant’s drug activities in one of Dubai’s areas.

The case dates back to last February, when reliable information was forwarded to the Anti-Narcotics Department at Dubai Police about a person consuming narcotics and psychotropic substances and possessing a quantity of them in his house in the Palm Island area in Dubai.
The story did not end here but developed from rape into drugs and the victim ended up at the hands of Dubai Police who referred her to the Hemaya International Centre of Dubai Police’s General Department of Anti-narcotics for rehabilitation.
