The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Monday announced 2,483 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 413,332
Abdulrahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, says country is approaching 7 million vaccines in more than 205 medical centres in different regions of the country.
The UAE was able to provide more than 6 million doses to date and to provide the vaccine to 3,614,070 people, completing 46.61% of the target category. The vaccine has been provided to 61.41% of elderly people, the current targeted category.
According to daily reports on the campaign, the country has provided nearly seven million vaccine doses to more than 205 medical centres, marking considerable progress and making the UAE a leading country in terms of vaccinating its people.
A third wave of coronavirus infections is likely to hit India by October, and although it will be better controlled than the latest outbreak the pandemic will remain a public health threat for at least another year, according to a poll of medical experts.
He added, “What we experience today will become something of the past tomorrow. Joining university and getting a degree was the ultimate end of our parents, but I assure you that education will never come to an end."
