Several areas of the UAE witnessed rains on Saturday due to a weak surface pressure accompanied by an extension of an air depression in the upper atmosphere.

Light rain fell at 1:30 in the afternoon on Mazyad, Al Dhahir, Umm Ghafa, and Shakla in the city of Al Ain, and on Jebel Hafeet.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on motorists to take caution while driving, specially amid lack of horizontal visibility as a result of rains and dusty winds.

The NCM also advised them to keep away from the places where water accumulates and the flowing valleys.

Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature, 17.5°C on Saturday, at 05:45am.

The NCM expected the Sunday weather to be generally clear, and low clouds would form in the morning on the eastern coast, turning into cumulus on the mountains, in the afternoon.

Winds are expected to be southeasterly, turning to northwesterly, light to moderate, activating at times, stirring dust, with a speed ranging between 10 to 20, up to 35 kilometres/hour.

The sea is expected to be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Monday’s weather is expected to be clear in general, partly cloudy and dusty, especially in the east, but hot during the day.

Winds on Monday will be southwesterly to northwesterly and moderate, but will be active at times during the day, especially to the east. They will stir dust which will affect visibility. Winds will blow at a speed ranging between 15 to 25 up to 35 kilometres/hour.

The sea will be light on Monday in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday’s weather, according to the NCM, will be clear in general and partly cloudy at times, tending to be hot during the day, humid at night and on Wednesday morning in some coastal areas.

Winds on Tuesday are expected to be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate in general, with a speed ranging between 10 to 20, reaching 30 kilometres/hour.

The sea on Tuesday is expected to be light in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
