A lifeguard at the Mirage Hotel-Fujairah saved the life of a 2-year-old child by reviving him after he was drowned.

The child's family was by the pool at the time of the incident, and the rapid intervention of lifeguard Angel Nakapito averted the worst.

Angel reportedly benefited from a specialized lifeguarding training course, which she completed recently. The course provides detailed training in water safety and first aid.
