Cloudy weather is likely to prevail in several parts of the country.

Some regions of the country on Saturday witnessed rains of different intensity, because of the state being affected by a surface atmospheric depression extending from the Red Sea. It had also affected the southern Arabian Peninsula, while accompanied by an air depression in the upper atmosphere coming from the northwest, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

Light rain began at 1:30 pm on Khorfakkan in Sharjah, Al Hallah and Badiyah in Fujairah, and on the Masafi-Dibba road, the NCM added.

The NCM appealed to individuals to take precautions while driving during rainfall or if visibility was poor due to dusty winds. It also advised the public to stay away from places where there are surface runoffs.

It has also stated that the weather on Sunday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy over some eastern areas, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon. Temperatures will gradually increase. Light to moderate southeasterly, becoming northwesterly and northeasterly, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime, with speed of 15–25 reaching 35km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea, according to NCM.

An earlier report said according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM),  the weather on Saturday will be fair in general and partly cloudy to cloudy at times over some eastern and northern areas, with a chance of convective clouds formation by afternoon and temperatures tend to increase gradually. Light to moderate southwesterly becoming northeasterly and southeasterly winds, freshening at times with a speed of 15-25 reaching 35km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

The NCM also indicated that the expected temperatures on Saturday would in the range of 29-36ºC in Abu Dhabi, 28-37ºC in Dubai, 29-37ºC in Sharjah, 28-37ºC in Ajman, 28-37ºC in Umm Al Quwain, 27-38ºC in Ras Al Khaimah, 27-35ºC in Fujairah and 28-37ºC in Al Ain.  While relative humidity will be ranging between 25-55 per cent in Abu Dhabi, 25-65 per cent in Dubai, 20-60 per cent in Sharjah, 25-65 per cent in Ajman, 20-60 per cent in Umm Al Quwain, 25-60 per cent in Ras Al Khaimah, 30-65 per cent in Fujairah and 25-65 per cent in Al Ain.
