UAE records 1,973 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1, 973 new coronavirus cases on Friday.

In addition to the new cases, 1, 744 individuals have recovered and two people passed away.

Using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, the ministry has conducted 202,068 additional COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

Since the outbreak, the UAE has recorded 506, 845 positive coronavirus cases, 488, 664 have recovered and 1,567 passed away.
