Residents of a neighbourhood in the Turkish city of Adana were shocked when a visibly disturbed man named Mustafa threatened to throw his 4-year-old daughter from the roof of his house due to disagreements between him and his wife.
A video clip showed the moments of terror and shock experienced by neighbours and policemen as they tried to dissuade Mustafa from throwing his daughter.
The video also shows the wife crying for her daughter and begging Mustafa to spare her.
In the end, the Turkish police intervened and succeeded in freeing the girl from the hand of her father.
Turkish media reported that the man was suffering from psychological problems. He was taken into custody. The child and her mother were taken to the hospital.
