Sometimes animals make for more delightful entertainment than human beings. Social media, every now and then, is awash in some of their capers. One such caper was recently shared on Twitter.
The video features a man trying to feed some birds some fish from a water-filled container affixed to a speeding boat.
As he is feeding them, lo and behold, out from the slipstream emerges a wild, free and majestic sea lion gatecrashing the feeding party.
The creature is big, but certainly appears big-hearted. It just wants to have a slice of the pie, as it seems to be ravenous.
It first latches on to the edge of the boat, then gets in and dunks his head into the container to devour the fishes in it.
The man simply has a good laugh over its antics.
People couldn't stop commenting and fawning over the creature. The adorable video, shared on Twitter, has garnered 9.8 million views till now and continues to be enjoyed by many, according to a report in a section of the Indian media.
Some were even concerned about the sea lion eating food that was meant for birds. The food could create an ‘insurgency in the body politic,’ they felt. "This is so great. Poor thing will have a tummy ache though," read a comment.
Another concerned user said, "Hahaha! Hope, no animal was hurt during the filming, apart from the poor fish, of course. The sea lion could have finished with indigestion having gobbled the lot?"
Some comments were exceptionally hilarious and delved into the lighter side. A user felt that the scene was similar to the first day when pubs would open.
A few users got a little more creative and shared GIFs.
