Sharjah Police honour airport officer for seizing smuggled gold from passenger

Brigadier General Ahmad Haji Al Serkal, Director of Police Operations at Sharjah Police General Directorate, honoured an Airport officer, Sergeant Mohammed Aziz, for successfully seizing a large quantity of gold items that were smuggled by a passenger through Sharjah Airport.

The vigilant officer noticed the secret pockets inside the passenger’s luggage, and managed to smartly find the gold items, which the passenger thought he could easily smuggle out of the country without getting caught.

Brig. Al Serkal praised the officer’s dedication to seek justice and apply the law; besides being a great example to the vigilance of police force.

For his part, the airport officer expressed his gratitude for being honoured, and considered it to be a motivation to work harder and give more to serve his country and ensure the safety of its community.
