UAE announces 2,087 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) recorded 2,087 new coronavirus cases on Thursday.

Additionally, 1,677 people have recovered and 16 people passed away.

Using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, the ministry carried out 225,489 additional COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

The UAE has recorded 419, 996 positive coronavirus cases since the outbreak, 399,803 have recovered and 1,369 passed away.
