Two persons were killed, while one was seriously injured after a vehicle had swerved and crashed into concrete pillar at the entrance of Cleveland Clinic-Abu Dhabi hospital, on Wednesday morning.
The mother of the three children — a boy, 15, and his two sisters, 12 and 11 — sustained serious injuries in the accident.
An Emirati man was also wounded in the accident, and he was transferred to the hospital for treatment, the police added.
Brigadier Salem Bin Barak Al-Dhahiri, Director of the Traffic department of the Al-Ain district of Traffic and Patrols Department in the central operations sector, said preliminary investigations attributed the cause of the accident as overspeeding and sudden change of lanes.
