Court orders man to pay Dhs40,000 over fraud charges in Al Ain

The Al Ain Court of First Instance obligated an accused to pay Dhs40,000 to a man after defrauding him and deluding him into being a company manager, and asking for him to fork out Dhs35,000 and share the profits after that.
He indicates that the accused was convicted by a criminal judgment, and that the victim was materially and morally damaged after his money was taken away from him.
The details of the case refer to the filing of a lawsuit in which a man demanded another obligation to pay him Dhs35,000 with legal interest, and his compensation for the damages incurred by him in the amount of Dhs10,000 in addition to the fees and expenses and in exchange for the attorneys' fees. He pointed out that the accused defrauded and deluded him. He was a company manager and was asked to share with him Dhs35,000, and share the profits. The accused was found guilty of a criminal judgment.
The court confirmed that the defendant had been convicted by a criminal judgment on charge of appropriating the amount, and that the plaintiff had suffered material and moral damage that was represented in his being deprived of the amount delivered to the defendant and his feeling of psychological pain caused by the defendant’s action.
Recently, the Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance obligated a person to pay another Dhs10,000 in compensation for moral damages caused to him after he insulted him in front of his colleagues and threatened him with imprisonment.
The court rejected obligating the victim to pay compensation, noting that the case papers did not include any evidence of material damage.
