Homeless woman gives birth in freezing temperature

According to authorities in Bavarian city of Nuremberg, Germany, a homeless woman gave birth outdoors in the cold on Friday.

The 20-year- old mother, newborn and a companion were found by police patrol at about 5:00 a.m. outside a subway station.

The woman and her baby were huddled in a sleeping bag trying to keep warm in minus 15 Celsius (5 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures.

The baby and new mother were taken to the hospital to warm up and for observation by the authorities.
