Denmark will lift a ban on flights coming from the UAE from Sunday, the UAE embassy to Denmark said on Twitter on Saturday.
Denmark said two weeks ago it would temporarily halt flights from UAE for five days after concerns were raised about the coronavirus tests administered in the Dubai before departure.
Passengers travelling from the UAE to Denmark must present a negative COVID-19 no older than 24 hours before boarding. On arrival they must take another test and isolate for 10 days, the embassy said, adding that these rules apply until Feb.28.
All passengers arriving on flights from the UAE to the Italian airports of Rome/Fiumicino, Milan/Malpensa and Venice/Marco Polo are free to circulate throughout the country without restriction, provided they have a negative COVID-19 test result dated not more than 48 hours before departure from the UAE.
According to the decision, the period of the required PCR test is reduced from 72 hours to 48 hours, provided that the tests issued by accredited laboratories bearing the QR Code are accepted.
The latest phase of these repatriation flights, known as the "Vande Bharat Mission," began on March 1 and will last till March 28. Slightly more than 1,350 international flights are scheduled to be operated from 28 countries in this phase, enabling an estimated 260,000 Indians to travel home.
