Babies are a delight any time, not only for the parents but all those who come in contact with them. When they smile, the whole world smiles with them. When they cry, relatives and acquaintances wonder what's wrong.

They are the central topic of discussion in any family get-together. In any outing, they are the cynosure of all eyes.

They are particularly fascinating to watch when they laugh. A video of a baby giggling while someone, possibly her father, is trying to feed her has gone viral on social media: it has garnered over 1.2 million views within less than 10 hours of being posted on Twitter and more than 45,000 'likes'.In the comments section, many agreed that the sound of a baby laughing could be voted the best sound in the world.

According to a report in a section of the Indian media, the video was shared on the popular Twitter account 'Buitengebieden' and later reposted by retired American basketball player Rex Chapman.

It shows a man -- possibly the baby's father -- trying to feed her a small spoonful of baby food. His efforts are stumped by the toddler who is all chuffed up, who opens her mouth wide but ends up dissolving into giggles instead of eating. Her laughter is infectious.

Even the person attempting to feed her can't help laughing along with her.

No wonder they are called bundles of joy.
