Nine workers found dead in China mine explosion, raising death toll to 10; 11 rescued and one still missing, state media reported on Monday
"From Sunday afternoon to this afternoon, rescue workers have not stopped searching, and found a further nine trapped miners who unfortunately all died,", state broadcaster CCTV quoted the mayor of Yantai city as saying.

Earlier, Chinese rescuers pulled 11 gold miners to safety on Sunday, 14 days after an underground explosion, state broadcaster CCTV reported, trapped them.

Footage showed the first miner to be rescued, a black blindfold across his eyes, being lifted out of a mine shaft in the morning, according to Reuters.
The miner was extremely weak, CCTV said on its Weibo site. Rescue workers wrapped the barely responsive man in a blanket before taking him to hospital by ambulance.
