The Dubai Public Prosecution referred an Asian worker, aged 20, to criminal court for attempting to steal coins from a Laundromat device placed in one of Dubai’s areas.
Official records indicate that the facility’s security guard was taking an inspection tour inside the laundry room, when he caught the defendant red-handed while trying to break the coin box that belongs to the laundry machine.
Apparently, the defendant was trying to break the box’s lock to steal all the coins inside, but he immediately tried to find a way out of the place once the security guard approached him.
However, the guard managed to restrain the defendant and detain him until police arrived to the robbery scene.
The defendant confessed to attempting to steal the coins and he was charged with attempted robbery.
The Dubai Public Prosecution referred an Asian cook and worker, aged 35 and 41, to criminal court for breaking into an international restaurant’s tip box and stealing Dhs10,000 from it.
The suspect communicated with an Asian woman who owns a medical company to sell protective vests and told her that he could sell to her at prices lower than the institution's prices.
The victim was alerted with the sudden disappearance of two gold watches and a bracelet from his bedroom safe. All suspicion fell on the cook as he was the only one who had access to the bedroom to take care of the laundry.
