His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday offered condolence to the people of Indonesia on the plane crash.

“Our heartfelt condolences to the people of Indonesia following yesterday’s plane crash.  The victims and their families remain in our hearts and prayers. May God give the people of Indonesia strength and solace at this difficult time,” tweeted Sheikh Mohamed.

Rescuers on Sunday fished out human remains, wreckage and clothing from waters off the Indonesian capital on Sunday after a passenger jet with 62 people aboard crashed shortly after take-off a day earlier.

Human remains, as well as debris from the wreckage, were recovered from waters about 23 metres deep.

Authorities pinpointed the location of its black boxes - cockpit voice and flight data recorders - that could be key to explaining why the plane slammed into the Java Sea off the sprawling city's coast.

The Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-500 went into a steep dive about four minutes after it left Soekarno-Hatta international airport on Saturday afternoon.
