Ajman Civil Defence put out factory fire in record time

A huge fire broke out at a refrigerator factory on Tuesday, and it was successfully put out by Civil Defence teams with no human casualties.

Ajman Civil Defence officials revealed that the fire erupted at a place in the New Industrial Area in Ajman, and caused 30% damage to the factory’s contents. Civil teams responded to the incident in a record time of 5 minutes.

Two nearby buildings were evacuated to ensure the safety of residents. Police are still investigating reasons behind the fire.

Recently, residents of the area alerted police around 5:00pm that a fire broke out in a residential building, and police patrols, ambulances as well as civil teams were immediately dispatched to the site.

The Sharjah Civil Defence put out the blaze in record time. The police evacuated the building. Forensic teams were at the site to determine the cause of the blaze. A number of fire engines and ambulances arrived at the scene.

However, there was no loss of life.

On Mar 5, a massive fire broke out at a residential apartment in Al Nahda, Sharjah.

The Sharjah Civil Defence teams controlled the Abcco Tower fire. The building was evacuated.

Recently, an Asian valet driver, 25 years old, was jailed and referred to the criminal court for stealing Dhs75,000 from the vehicle of the hotel guest.The victim testified that he had received the amount from a customer, and had kept it in his vehicle’s side-door compartment, then headed to a hotel in Jumeirah and checked his car into the valet service. On the same day, he headed back to his vehicle to find out that the money was missing. Accordingly, he filed a police report, and investigations revealed that the defendant was the one who stole the money from the victim’s vehicle.

Separately, a 33-year-old Asian salesman was arrested and referred to the criminal court, for sexually assaulting his female colleague by installing a camera inside the washroom to film her. The victim testified that on a usual work day, she head to staff washroom to use it, and after she was done she grabbed the bathroom’s mop to clean the floor and was surprised to see a small camera falling off the mop.
