Germany to impose stricter restrictions

Germany plans to tighten restrictions until Jan.10 in order to curb the spread of the virus.

According to the proposed government draft, essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies and banks will be the only ones open.

The proposed draft is for a scheduled meeting between German chancellor Angela Merkel and state leaders.

Schools will also be closed and employers will be instructed to let their employees work from home.

Germany has been placed in lockdown for six weeks with restaurants closed but stores and schools remained open.
