UAE detects 1,226 new COVID-19 cases, 668 recoveries, 5 deaths

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP reported 1,226 new coronavirus cases on Friday.

Additionally, 668 people have recovered and 5 people passed away in the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry, it carried out 124,494 coronavirus tests in the last 24 hours.

It added in a statement that it will continue to expand testing round the nation, so, infected cases can be detected on time and treatment can run its course.

The UAE has recorded 147, 961 coronavirus cases, 141,883 recoveries and 528 deaths so far.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery.
